The rear bumper assembly includes the bumper body, mounting brackets, and a flexible snap-fit connector.
Mounting brackets: These include a mounting head and a mounting post perpendicularly connected to the center of the mounting head. The bumper body has through holes that mate with the mounting post. The snap-fit connector has blind holes along its axial direction that mate with the mounting post. The mounting post passes through the through holes and engages with the blind holes to secure the connector to the bumper body. The mounting head abuts against a rubber buffer block fixed to the tailgate.
Bumper: Absorbs and mitigates external impacts, protecting the front and rear of the vehicle.
Snap-fit connector: Withstands significant forces, increasing the connection strength between the bumper body and the support bracket. The mounting post extending into the blind holes of the snap-fit connector ensures Y-axis tension. When the tailgate is closed, the rubber buffer block directly contacts the mounting head, preventing damage to the bumper body from impact.
